Shaking things up!

Hello everyone. Big news this month!

Firstly an apology: there's no new release for February due to work commitments. I know, bummer right? But instead of the thrill of a new book, how about some news that – according to my survey results – many of you will be super-interested in: an overhaul of my Patreon offering!​

Basically, I've had a look at the tiers and rewards structure and wanted to make it more accessible and more rewarding for all of you.

See below for all the details, but I think you'll like what's on offer!

My Patreon is now cheaper to join

And you'll be getting more rewards too!

I took onboard the feedback from my survey (see below) and noted that many of you might be more interested in becoming paying subscribers if the tiers were cheaper to join or the rewards were more frequent.

Well how about I do both?

Given my new releases are typically short novellas or part of an ongoing serial, I usually charge $3 for them. And with the lowest Patreon tier currently being $5, I had to agree that getting my latest release for free every month along with just a single short story wasn't representing value for money.

It's important to me that you feel like you're getting a real advantage from paying a regular amount rather than just purchasing new books upon release, so I've made some across-the-board changes that I hope will temp more of you into subscribing:

CHEAPER TIERS

Instead of $5, $10 and $25, the three tiers will now be priced $4, $6 and $20! This represents much better value for money, especially when you factor in the extra content I'm bringing to the Patreon feed!

EARLIER ACCESS

Approval times allowing, I'll do my best to ensure that paying subscribers get their mitts on my new releases a week or so before the official release date on Amazon!

MORE EROTIC POSTS

Rather than just one short story every month, I'll also be posting quicker (but just as steamy) erotic 'minis' at least every week, and usually more frequently. These may be musings, poems, or quick scenes accompanied by a saucy or explicit picture or GIF to get the imagination (and juices) flowing. And this will be in addition to the main erotic short chosen by higher tier members.

EROTIC CONFESSIONS

I'll also be setting up a page where I'll be sharing real-life sexual encounters, fantasies and more – with the hope that you guys will add your sordid thoughts and experiences for the enjoyment of all!

Survey results

Honestly, you guys are filthy...

It's always an eye-opener when I read the results of my surveys. But also reassuring that so many of you have minds just as dirty as mine 😂

With the caveat that this is representative only of the proportion of readers who responded, here are the main takeaways:

Pretty even split between men and women

Slightly more men, but not by much. Similar split between those into women vs. men. Great that I have fans from both camps!

A more mature audience

Maybe it's just cos they had more time on their hands to complete the survey, but a large proportion of my respondents are 50+. Glad to see those libidos aren't diminishing with age!

"I read it for the plot!"

It's a cliché but the vast majority of respondents said they read erotica cos they like the kinds of stories featured. As one person put it: 'I enjoy the story and the smut is an added bonus'. But over half were honest enough to admit that they also find it sexually gratifying and use it to... well... you know!

My books offer something different

While a quarter said my stories were very similar to other erotica you read, the rest said my stuff was either slightly different or unique. That's so gratifying, and I'm glad my voice and style hits a bit different compared to what else is out there.

You like it when I get inappropriate

Noted! While my variety of stories and the imagination of the scenarios received a lot of praise, the thing you all liked most about my output is that I'm not afraid to tackle the taboo. So I guess I should lean into that a little more...

You want more

There wasn't much in the way of criticism (but I've taken on-board all of it) except a common lament that my books are too short! Well, that's a lovely complaint to receive (it means you're left wanting more!) - although while I still have a full time job away from the smut writing, I'm not sure there's much I can do about that! Hopefully my expanded Patreon offering will go some way towards addressing that...
